Education, Career Development, Knowledge Dissemination, and Integrative Efforts

Leader: Hilary Godwin

The goal of the UC CEIN Education program is to provide Center-wide mentoring and training for students and postdoctoral fellows across the various campuses of the UC CEIN, to develop formal and informal learning tools and protocols based on the science being conducted in the Center, and to increase the integration of activities and provide opportunities for synergism across the Center.

Our Education activities are organized around the principle of ensuring that the science performed and discoveries made within the UC CEIN are leveraged to serve broader societal needs.  Specifically, the activities are designed to foster collaborative, interdisciplinary science; to advance discovery and understanding while promoting teaching, training, and learning; and to broaden participation of underrepresented groups in the sciences.
